A few suggestions of things to do on the Isle of Wight in the Winter-
For free-
Walk along the beach- have a sandcastle competition!
Collect fossils on the beach at Yaverland
Collect shells or go rockpooling at St. Helens
Walk along the Cliff Path to Shanklin
Walk a small part of the Coastal Path.
Bring your bike and cycle one of the many routes around the island.
Drive around the whole Island in a day- the scenery is so diverse it never ceases to amaze me!
For a small charge-
Enjoy a cream tea in one of our picturesque cafes- or a beer in one of our fantastic pubs overlooking the sea.
Visit Dinosaur Isle, the Zoo, Amazon World, Ventnor Botanical Gardens etc etc...........some attractions are still open in the Autumn.
Shop- for food and wine produced here on the island or in our many small specialist shops.
These are just a few of our favourite things to do- I am sure you will find many more ways to fill your time here!
Lots of events to enjoy - see www.islandbreaks.co.uk or www.isleofwight.com for extensive lists of what is happening on the island in the next few months |
